- Kung fu master -

Kung fu master is a classic game that was released first in the arcades. You have to fight your way across five levels packed with enemies and the end of each level is guarded by boss, the aim is to rescue your girlfriend who was kidnapped. Being a kung fu master you don't use any weapons at all except for you hands and feet but they are as deadly as any weapon. Most of the enemies you meet will be pretty standard trainees who come at you in large numbers and will try to hold you which will decrease your energy. The only way to loose them is to shake from side to side so it's best to take them out before they catch you. Later on you will encounter more difficult oppenent like knife throwers, tiny dragons, midgets and others. Most of these won't give you too many difficulties but the bosses can easily take you out with out a couple of hits and if you loose all your energy you will always be send back to the beginning of the level so be carefull.

This game is very well known being first released in the arcades and later being ported to a lot of other platforms. I remember playing this game time after time to try and beat the game since it's pretty hard especially because you get send back to the beginning of the level if you die. I had plenty of fun with it though and if you fancy a quick arcade game that doesn't bother you with stories and plots than give this game a try. The NES version is the best of the lot with excellent controls so I recommend you take a look a that version.

Overal rating: 7/10

This game was released for several different systems here are some notes:
Apple Released in 1985.
This version is the worst of the lot, no background and gameplay isn't much to talk about either.
Amstrad CPC Released in 1985.
This is actually a very good version and well worth a go.
Atari 2600 Released in 1987.
Game has been tested but not completed with Stella v1.4.1.
All the characters look like hooded men but I have no idea why, otherwise it's a prett accurate version.
C64 Released in 1985.
Game has been tested but not completed with CCS64 v2.0 win.
The controls don't respond well and you have to switch from kicks to punches with the space bar which makes one move useless.
NES Released in 1985 by Kemco.
Game has been tested but not completed with FCE ultra v0.98.12.
This is the closest to the original of all the versions.
ZX Spectrum Released in 1985.
Game has been tested but not completed with emuZwin v2.5.
This version sounds, looks and plays horrible.
Others These versions are not available.
Atari 7800 released in 1989.
