- Parlour games -

Rummaging through my collecting I came across a strange title called Parlour Games, now you can think up all sorts of stuff with this title so I decided to check it out. Parlour games features three games you can partake in in a parlour (apparently). Darts, billiards and strangely bingo are the three games you can play and each has different options on how to play. You can play with several people or against the computer if you haven't got anyone around to go up against.

Billiards allows you to play several different versions, basic, nine ball, five ball and rotation. Once on the table you can easily control the cueball with direction, power and effect as there are visual indicators of each. The object ofcourse is to use the cueball to knock in the colored balls in order depending on which play you selected at the start. The game is won when you reach a score that you can determine at the start.

Darts should be instantly familiar and it also allows several types of games, 301, 501, around the clock and double down. It also gives you an option on how to open the game (double or regular) and how to close the game which makes things more difficult on you and your opponent. Aiming at the board is done using a simple left-right on the horizontal plane but you will have to press the button at the right time for the amount of power and the height of the throw. This makes hitting doubles on the sides of the board a lot easier since you can't really aim that way.

World bingo is an odd one, you bet on certain parts of the bingo board and you roll a slot machine to see which number you get and even if the number is allowed or not. Other than that it's your standard bingo game though where you have to get x number in a row to win.

Parlour games is a bit of a weird one and I have no idea what the makers were thinking of when making the game. Why bingo is included with billiards and darts is a bit of a mystery as well as the inclusion of the ladies in small outfits, the game doesn't really need either of them. The darts and billiards aren't too bad though and the different options allow you to play some different types of game. Neither stand out but at least it's fun for a while.
