There have been loads of scrolling shooters released over time, I can even remember the first game that had a secondary weapon with which you could destory ground targets. The story is about aliens who have almost wiped out humanity and are now preparing to attack Mars to which the survivors have now retreated. The decision has been made to attack before the aliens do and all of mankinds hope rests on you (again).

You have your regular enemies who travel towards you in patterns and you can take them out with your weapons. You can upgrade your weapons for more firepower from powerups which some enemies drop which is always a good thing. There's even a twoplayer simultanious mode where you can fight off the aliens together which is much better than taking on a whole alien species by yourself.

Well what can you say about a game that's pretty much like any other shoot'em up. All the basic ingredients are here like mucho enemies, weapons upgrades and powerups and bosses at the end of a level. The one redeeming feature is the simultanious two-player mode but other than that the game's pretty much a dime a dozen shooter and doesn't really offer much else.

Overal rating: 4/10
