- Narco police -

The year is 2003 and one fifth of the world population is addicted to narcotics, Drug dealers now have incredible power because of this. All nations of the world have send two of their best policemen to form an elite corps called the Narco Police. Their mission to infiltrate and take out the Narco Processing Centre, an island of the coast of Colombia where most of the worlds narcotics are processed.

The island is one huge maze and since it is vital to the drug barons they have invested millions in safeguarding the place. Apart from the regular troops there are automated machine guns dotted around the maze and some area's are locked by reinforced doors which you can only penetrate with missiles. The main objective is the central processing lab where the main activities are going on, you have to blow up this lab with C4 explosives to complete your task.

You have at your command three squads of five men and there are three entrances to the maze where you can drop them off. Each team can carry equipment up to 500 pounds and you can select from a wide range like regular ammo, missiles, but also bullet proof vests and medical kits to enhance your survivability. Occasionally you will encounter doors, terminals and automated machine guns. You can actually operate some of the terminals and deactive guns or camera's as well as show the casualties for the enemy. Your own terminal also has certain commands you can use like switching groups, setting explosives or calling in extra soldiers. The commands are quite unique for an action game and they add a bit of strategy besides just pure shooting.

The entire game is played from a third person view and you will see the leader of the current group walking inside the maze. You can choose directions when there is an opportunity but you will have to keep track of where you are as it's easy to get lost. The action can get slow at times because of the maze and the controls are a bit sluggish but after a while you get used to it. The tactical parts combined with the action make this game quite worthwhile and you won't be dissapointed by it.

Overal rating: 8/10
