- On the ball -

Football manager games are quite common these days but on the ball is very different from the others. The theme of the game is football yes but you must manage all the aspects of the team you are managing from seating prices, advertising and sponsering. All this is ofcourse to make money and if you do well you will get a nice big bonus at the end of your term.

The first thing to do is ofcourse to pick a team that you will be managing and you can choose from a number of English teams. Then it's right to business because you have a company to run and money to make. Usually at the start there will be an offer to sponsor you team and you must decide wether the offer is worth it or wait for a better one. Things don't cool down from here though as you have to set seating prices for the stadium and build new seats that might appeal to VIP's. You'll have to check player transfers, which players are to play and much much more. The matches themselves are not shown as play but you basically get the results after play and that's it, but this is really fitting with the game because of it's serious nature.

On the ball is quite a different kind of football management game. It's not often the game focusses entirely on the business aspect of football instead of the game itself. This does mean the game might be less appealing to some gamers because they want to have more control over the play ascpects of football such as plays and wether to concentrate on attack of defence. However if you're looking for a business sim that just happens to be about football then this if probably one of the few games you can choose from.
