- Nascar racing -

Nascar racing is a sport where fast cars race around an oval to try and see who's the fastest, this game is a simulation of that. You can outfit your vehicle the way you see fit and tune it up in a number of different ways. There are also many different tracks to choose from and you can race in all of them tournament style or simply choose one and race around.

This game is a simulation foremost so there are plenty of options available to you to change and tune your car. Things like tire pressure and airodynamics are among the various options you can try out to improve your laptimes. All of this can be done prerace so when the time comes for qualifying you will be at your best. The race itself is shown entirely in 3D and you can select from different views like the driver's view or a third person one. You can change the level of detail to suit your computer but fortunately with today's machines it won't be much of a problem. The graphics altough in low resolution aren't bad and there is even damage modelling which some of today's games don't even have.

This is quite a detailed simulation of nascar racing in my opinion as there are tons of options available to you in the game. I have to say though that racing games be it simulation or arcade aren't really high on my wanted list. The fact that the tracks are ovals doesn't help much either but I know there are plenty of people who don't mind. Still you'll have to decide if you like the game or not but if you are looking for something less arcade style than most games of this type then give it a go.

Overal rating: 7/10
