- Blues brothers, the -

The blues brothers was a pretty succesfull movie and it had some pretty catchy tunes as well so it's no surprise that there was a game made as well. It won't come as a surprise either that it is a platform game like pretty much all movie games.

Gameplay is pretty standard as far as platformers are concerned, you can select either of the two brothers (I forgot their names) but apart from looking different there isn't much of a difference playing them. You have to run around the level collecting records and dodging all the people trying to stop you. You don't have any weapons but occasionally you can grab some crates lying around to throw at enemies. Other things you can do are gliding using an umbrella, flying around on a balloon and crawling around like a dog (it looks real funny).

The blues brothers isn't anything spectacular as far as games are concerned but it does incorperate lots of tunes from the movie though so if you like that then you'll get something extra out of this game. The rest of the game is pretty well executed with smooth scrolling and fast gameplay, luckily the game gives you a health bar instead of the usual get hit once and die instantly that can be very annoying. All in all a fun little platformer with some nice music.

Overal rating: 6.5/10
