- Big game fishing -

There are plenty of fishing games around many of which are based on BASS fishing but there are few that involve saltwater fishing. This game concentrates on big game fishing in tropical waters and the prey in question is the mighty black marlin.

You start the game with a small amount of cash with which you can charter a boat and buy some equipment and you're off to start reeling in those fish. It's not really as easy as it sounds though as you'll first have to move to a good location where you can start fishing and then it's often a long long wait before you actually get a bite not to mention reeling in the big fish. The fishing is done trawling which basically means you ride the boat while pulling a lure and occasionally dropping some chum to lure the fish. If you are lucky enough to get a bite you will still have to reel it in but if you do you might just catch that big one every fisherman dreams about.

Big game fishing is game that doesn't really capture the feeling of the actual thing, this isn't a problem with the game itself really but some activities simply don't translate well into a game. When you're out big game fishing out on the sea and in the sun the waiting part isn't to bad but if you have to wait behind a screen until a fish takes your bait it's simply not the same. This game is a niche game in a niche genre so it's really only for serious fishing game enthousiasts.

Overal rating: 5/10
