- Lotus Esprit turbo challenge -

Lotus Esprit turbo challenge is a racing game in which you can race with that famous car. The Lotus Esprit delivered amazing performance using only a 2.2 Liter engine and you could buy several of them for the price of a Ferrari or Porsche. The game is played out as any racer with your car viewed from behind and you have to race several different tracks. Before racing you have to qualify first which determines your starting position. Once you qualify you have to race a number of laps which you can set in the main menu.

If you win you will continue onto the next tracks to see who is the fastest. This all doesn't sound too different from any other racing game but the thing that sets it apart is the two player mode. Two players can play the game simultaniously and the view will use a splitscreen to show both players their own cars. With two players the game becomes a lot better because the computer player is pretty boring and doesn't really do anything except do simple laps. It's too bad that in single player mode the screen still uses the same screen mode but a part of the screen is simply filled with a still picture which could have been used to show more of the track.

The graphics and sound aren't really anything special and without the two player mode there is very little to recommend this game over any other racer. If you have a friend nearby you can give this game a try but if you don't then there are plenty of better racing games to play.

Overal rating: 6/10
